History[edit]

It was opened on August 29, 1988 with the 15-story South Tower and the 18-story Central Tower making up the hotel. In 1992, construction of the 20-story North Tower was completed. The South Tower operates as an adult-only facility and the North and Central Towers serve as family towers of the hotel.

Harrah's Laughlin was the site of the River Run Riot, a fight between the Hells Angels and the Mongols during the annual Laughlin River Run. 3 people were killed during the fighting.

The conflict began when members of the Hells Angels went to Harrah's Laughlin to confront members of the Mongols who had allegedly harassed vendors that sold Hells Angels related merchandise. Mongol Anthony Barrera, 43, was stabbed to death, and two Hells Angels, Jeramie Bell, 27, and Robert Tumelty, 50, were shot to death. Raymond Foakes, a member of the Hells Angels, lands a running fly kick on a member of the Mongols. A mass brawl breaks out on the Harrah’s Casino gaming floor. Several members of the public are still in the casino and begin running or attempting to find cover in the casino. Guns are fired and other weapons also used. The two biker clubs were at it again in 2002, when they were involved in a shootout at the Harrah's Laughlin Casino in Laughlin, Nevada, that left three members dead. Mongol Anthony 'Bronson' Barrera, 43, was stabbed to death, and Hells Angels Jeramie Bell, 27, and Robert Tumelty, 50, were shot to death. The River Run Riot - Harrahs Casino, Saturday 27 April, 2002. Violence was escalating between the Hells Angels and Mongols. 40 Mongols are in a bar of the casino when 35 Hells Angels approach. 2 Hells Angels and a Mongol are killed. Three people were wounded and a fourth person died in the shooting that police said arose from a conflict between two motorcycle groups — the Hells Angels and Mongols Motorcycle group — outside the restaurant, according Arvada Police Detective David Snelling. No arrests have been made.

In July 2020, Eldorado Resorts acquired Caesars Entertainment, taking over operations of the property.[2] In connection with that acquisition, Vici Properties bought the real estate of Harrah's Laughlin for $435 million and leased it back to Eldorado (newly renamed as Caesars Entertainment).[3][4]
