The second month of 2019 is a busy one for live poker tournament players in the United Kingdom with the Grosvenor Deepstack Series and Grosvenor 25/25 Series dominating the schedule with no fewer than 15 events scheduled during February.

Another popular Grosvenor tournament series are the 25/25 Series, which are £250 buy-in events with £25,000 guaranteed. These take place in Portsmouth, Leeds, London, and Birmingham this month.

An emotional event takes place in Blackpool on the second Saturday of the month, the £20,000 guaranteed Kav Cup. This fund-raising tournament is a yearly tournament in the honour of the late Derek “Kav” Kavanagh, a legendary figure on the UK poker circuit and one who is dearly missed by all. This edition of the Kav Cup has sold out, but it is worth stopping by for the banter, the raffling of prizes and to sample the famous Kav Cocktails!

The 2019 Genting Poker Series kicks off in Feb. with the opening two of 17 planned legs. Leg 1 heads to Newcastle followed by the Blackpool based Leg 2. Both are £225 buy-in events with £35,000 guaranteed.
